One day before Iran celebrated the 35th
anniversary of its Islamic Revolution, it test-fired two new
domestically manufactured missiles.
According to the Iranian Defense
Ministry, a laser-guided surface-to-surface and air-to-surface
missile named Bina (Insightful) and the new generation of a
long-range ballistic missile were tested on Monday.
Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier
General Hossein Dehqan said that the laser-guided Bina missile can be
fired by fighter jets and from launching pads.
He added that the missile is capable of
hitting important targets such as bridges, tanks, military vehicles,
and enemy command centers with high precision.
