Poland Launches RFP for New Trainer Aircraft

On 2 September 2010, the Department of Defense Armed Forces Procurement Agency invites tenders for the delivery of the Integrated Aviation Personnel Training System, also known as a Lead-In Fighter Trainer (LIFT).

The object of the tender is the supply of 16 combat training aircraft, training system, logistics package, related technical and operational documentation and training of user personnel, including the delivery of documentation for securing the training process.

Interested parties have one month to submit initial bids, which are scheduled to be opened on Oct. 4.

Bidders who submit such bids and meet the conditions for participation in the tender will be invited to the technical negotiation rounds, which aim to clarify the object and conditions of the contract.

The next stage, once a security payment has been lodged, will be the submission of best and final offers, and either an invitation to participate in an electronic auction, or direct negotiation in case of only one valid bid.
